Case Study: The Deck at The National Theatre
Description
The National Theatre’s website describes The Deck as ‘a brand new summer function space utilizing one of the theatre’s highest Thames facing terraces. A prime location with one of the capital’s most iconic panoramas The Deck will appear as a glowing cubed structure with a distinctive inside-outside feel, created by using translucent materials. Making the most of its 90-degree vantage point….’
Our part of this exciting project was to install our Sunflex SF99/155 system consisting of 6 large sliding panels, with 3 panels meeting the other set of 3 at 90-degrees. All 6 panels slide back to open the internal function space onto the deck terrace.
